This is not the optimal situation to evaluate depth and overlays. We always need more information about data spatiality and it becomes an hard constraint when talking about underground, with conducts, pipes and sinks.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.3dgis.it\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Screen-Shot-2012-05-22-at-12.45.11.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Cityvu 3D Rotterdam\" src=\"\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Screen-Shot-2012-05-22-at-12.45.11-1024x573.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"326\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Our cities are somewhat violated by stratified underground networks and every maintenance service must be accurately evaluated. 3DGIS has built\u00a0<strong><a title=\"Gestione delle reti tecnologiche\" href=\"http:\/\/www.3dgis.it\/prodotti\/gestione-delle-reti-tecnologiche\/\" target=\"_blank\">Reti<\/a>\u00a0solution<\/strong>\u00a0to overcome this: a management WebGIS for utility underground networks.<\/p>\n<p>An advanced software allow to easily work on complex networks but doesn&#8217;t solve the stratification problem. In 2008 <strong>Cityvu<\/strong> innovated online 3D geospatial data, allowing <strong>CityGML<\/strong> in browser without plugins, and now, in 2012, our R&#038;D department has improved the project to enable<strong> native 3D support<\/strong> to 3DGIS products.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.3dgis.it\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Screen-Shot-2012-05-22-at-12.20.23.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Cityvu 3D underground pipes\" src=\"\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Screen-Shot-2012-05-22-at-12.20.23-1024x745.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"424\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>First application of new Cityvu is <strong>3D visualization and querying of underground infrastructure networks<\/strong>. The project has been announced at\u00a0<strong>Geospatial World Forum<\/strong>\u00a0(Amsterdam, April 2012) and it got positive feedbacks from public companies and\u00a0government\u00a0agencies.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.3dgis.it\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Screen-Shot-2012-05-22-at-12.20.46.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Cityvu 3D Pipe Detail\" src=\"\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Screen-Shot-2012-05-22-at-12.20.46-1024x775.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"441\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Our aim is to <strong>improve spatial management<\/strong>.
